In Grupo Bertolín we consider the Social Corporative Responsibility as a strategic element during our management, intimately close to both the business improvement and the commitments that we have with all the interest groups we are related to, as well as the society and the environment.
Talking about CSR for us has, in addition, an important ethical component. It means also talking about ethical management and about good corporative government, that comes as marked for the ethical code and behavior and that, furthermore, is completely integrated to our daily management and belongs to our idiosyncracy.
Our goal is to keep improving through the path drawn up to now, by consolidating our strategy and our actions of Corporative Responsibility, so our activities can contribute to the SDG’s achievements. And that we can summarize in: incresing in a responsible and sustainable way offering efficient solutions, minimizing the impact on our activity in the environment, and maintaining the wager to strenghten the capacities of the people, health and well-being.
The Ethical and Conduction Code’s implementation, as well as a complete program of penal crimes’s prevention that, together with the current works’ risks prevention, the environment protection and the Equality Program, cover a whole normative compliance that we always went after. The ambition is that this Code is the practical guide to encourage the responsibility, confidence and the commitment. Furthermore, we pretend that everyone, direction, workers, clients and suppliers can find our values, as well as those behaviors that make a zero tolerance or front rejection.
This channel will only be used to communicate possible Compliance’s incompletion, as well as to making enquiries about the interpretation of the Ethical Code’s aptitudes, of any other intern normative or current law and applicable to Grupo Bertolín. All the warnings will be managed by the Compliance’s responsible and the best discretion and confidenciality.
Our priority, within the social action, is to collaborate with the most disavantaged people, as well as helping children, promoting healthy life habits consolidating our continuous commitment with sports through actions destined to the promotion of this lifestyle and support for cultural events that generate a positive impact on the society. For that, we maintain collaborations with different collectives: social, sports, cultural, university…etc.
It is undeniable that the aspects related to Quality, the Environment and the Security and Health of our workers are strongly linked to our vision: “Do it well or don’t do it”, that is so rooted in our coporative culture. And it is in the common origin of these three aspects where we can find the meeting point, because commiting to our client’s requirements, developping our activiry in a sustainable way and guaranteeing the Security and Health of our team are the results of a well done work.
For that, in 1997, we implemented a unique management system through a SIG department, that would allow a more efficent management of the processes, optimize the ressourcs and take advantage of the sinergies of a management, producing profits to improve our competitivity and when making decisions.
The certifications and recognitions obtained through the time show us that the implemented policies are efficient and are helping us in taking actions to get better continuously in the development of our processes.
Quality is our referent, what is reflected in the obtained certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45000.
In the execution of our projects we use sustainability criteria to permit the obtention of the environment and energetic certification of the installations with the distinct BREEAM Very Good, where the reduction of the energetic consumption, the maintenance fees, and the benefits for the environment will help and reduce the CO2 emissions. Moreover, we participated in the conceptualization and execution of the first Logistics Park of private initiative with certified sustainability (green certification GBCe), which is called to be the reference of the logistic parks of the future, for its quality standards and sustainability. In this case, the construction materials have been reused, environmental measurings have been carried out, green zones have been created with native species that require a minimum use of water for its maintenance, and about the illumination, led lights have been installed, as maximum exponents of the circular economy concept that is going to be introduced.
Grupo Bertolín establishes and implants healthy policy of his employees, guaranteeing secure and healthy work environment, and is making aware all of our collaboratives within the production process. The security and health of our employees are an important foundation and essential for the company.
In Grupo Bertolín, we are conscious that we work in sensible activities, and it is the reason why we make important efforts for the health and work risks prevention. Grupo Bertolín has a strategy and an actuation plan, that is inspected regularly, and the purpose is to comply with the legal requirements, as well as to implicate all the organization in the normative’s compliance.
We are looking for a continuous preventive culture in all of our areas, through the obligations and responsibilities’ formation, information and sensibilization of our employees, as well as commiting all of the organization in the compliance of the normative. The key of the success in prevention is that the same employees are responsible of the compliance and they commit with the part they are responsible of. This fact is accredited for the certifications obtained and the noticeable reduction of the accident rate indexes.
Our commitment with the health and well-being is one of our basic pillar of our value offer to the employee, and reduction of the work’s absenteeism, promoting healthy life habits and consolidating our continuous commitment with the sports through actions dedicated to the promotion of this lifestyle and that can be gathered in our CSR memory.
These awards that are given each year pretend to recognize and valorate both the initiatives that started and the people, for their innovation and/or trajectory, to follow the goals of Grupo Bertolín in work risks’ prevention and in health promotion. The accident rate 0 is one of our strategic goals, the Industrial Relations General Advice and Work Sciences (CGRICT), offered us the WORK RISKS PREVENTION NATIONAL AWARD “PREVER 2018” IN HONORABLE MENTION’S CATEGORY for all our trajectory and great job in the Work Risks Prevention area.
